The Version of Me Then vs. The Version of Me Now
Two years ago, I was reactive.
Bitter.
Exhausted.
Fighting in a system designed to drain me.
Bleeding financially, emotionally, and spiritually.
Chasing justice. Pleading for someone to see what was being done to me.
Trying to protect my children while drowning in legal motions and manipulation.
I used humor to survive.
Sarcasm to shield my heartbreak.
And anger to hide my grief.
That version of me wasn’t wrong—
She was in survival mode.
But she’s not who I am today.
The version of me now?
She doesn’t chase battles that don’t lead to peace.
She doesn’t explain herself to people committed to misunderstanding her.
She doesn’t respond to dysfunction with reactivity—
She responds with calm clarity and silence when needed.
She still fights.
But with strategy. With groundedness.
With a healed nervous system and a regulated heart.
She understands that the most powerful thing she can do for her children is to become the safest energy in their world.
The version of me now knows her worth.
She doesn’t react to chaos—
She disarms it with her peace.
And to the one who tried to break her:
You created your greatest teacher.
If you’re still in the version of you that rages, aches, and can’t breathe without pain…
Keep going.
The healed version of you is already on her way.
She’s watching you fight, and she’s preparing a soft place for you to land.
