When Justice Becomes a Business Transaction
I just uncovered a connection that explains why every grievance I’ve filed against Judge Susan K. Steinhauer and Attorney Lisa Dean has been stonewalled.
Judge Steinhauer awarded full custody of my children to a man convicted of domestic violence—in violation of Ohio law, constitutional protections, and basic human decency. That decision aligned perfectly with the interests of Lisa Dean’s firm, Roderick Linton Belfance LLP.
Now I learn that one of their managing partners, William Chris, is not only a power broker in Akron’s legal community but also the incoming President of the Ohio State Bar Association (2025–2026).
Think about what that means:
• The very Bar Association responsible for holding attorneys accountable is led by a partner at the same firm entangled in this misconduct.
• Complaints about collusion and ethical violations are funneled back to leadership connected to the firm that benefits.
• Victims of judicial bias and attorney misconduct—like me—are left with no recourse, while the system protects its own.
This is not just about one custody case. It’s about systemic corruption, where family courts are manipulated, children are handed to abusers, and victims are silenced because powerful firms protect their partners instead of upholding justice.
When the President of the Ohio State Bar Association belongs to the same firm tied to judicial and attorney misconduct, how can the public trust the grievance process? How can survivors of abuse trust the courts?
This is not accountability. This is not justice.
It’s collusion at the highest levels. And it should outrage every parent, every lawyer, every citizen who believes in fairness under the law.
Sunlight is the best disinfectant. The truth needs to be seen.
