Character Isn’t Built in the Courtroom. It’s Revealed There.

When I speak out about former Summit County Judge Susan Steinhauer, it’s not just about what she did to me. It’s about who she is—and the public trail of unethical, retaliatory, and defamatory behavior that follows her.

You don’t have to take only my word for it.

In 2022, Magistrate Kani Hightower—a respected Black female judicial officer—sued Judge Susan Steinhauer for defamation, citing a pattern of racist behavior, retaliation, and career sabotage after Hightower refused to go along with Steinhauer’s misuse of power.

Akron Beacon Journal: “Magistrate Kani Hightower sues Judge Susan Steinhauer for defamation”

In the lawsuit, Hightower alleged that:

• Steinhauer attempted to force her resignation for fabricated reasons.

• She made slanderous and malicious statements to third parties.

• Her actions were motivated by racial bias, professional jealousy, and a desire to silence an independent judicial officer.

Sound familiar?

Because it mirrors what I experienced:

• Retaliation the moment I sought accountability.

• A false protection order filed against me to silence my grievance.

• Lies spread in the community to defame me as “dangerous” and “on drugs.”

• Abuse of her judicial office to protect herself and punish whistleblowers.

This Is Not an Anomaly. It’s a Pattern.

From abusing custody rulings to destroy safe mothers, to retaliating against fellow officers of the court who stood in her way—Susan Steinhauer’s record is not about justice. It’s about control, retaliation, and character assassination.

Yet she still practices law. She still profits. She still hides behind judicial immunity while real people, real children, and real careers suffer.

Enough Is Enough.

No more protection for corrupt judges.

No more silence for those they’ve harmed.

No more reputation laundering.

Her name is Susan Steinhauer.

Her pattern of misconduct is public.

And I will make sure it’s never buried.
